Ed Sheeran Hit by An UnFollow Storm, Loses 200,000+ Followers Amid Macklemore Row

Ed Sheeran is facing a wave of online backlash following the removal of Macklemore from the remaining US dates of his Loop Tour.

According to reports, Sheeran’s Instagram following dropped more than 200,000 in 24 hours, with his follower count reportedly falling from approximately 47.6 million to 47.4 million.

The development comes after Macklemore was removed from the tour following his onstage comments supporting Palestine. Sheeran has since said the decision was made by tour promoters and venues, rather than by him personally.

Several of Sheeran’s remaining support acts have also withdrawn from the tour, including Finneas, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe and Beoga, citing their positions on artistic expression and the situation surrounding Macklemore.

The controversy continues to unfold as Sheeran’s US tour prepares to resume this week.
