Jordan Raises Minimum Wage to 290 JOD From January 2025
The Tripartite Committee for Labor Affairs, headed by Labor Minister Dr. Khaled Al-Bakar, has unanimously approved raising the minimum wage for private-sector employees in Jordan from 260 JOD to 290 JOD per month.
The new rate will take effect on January 1, 2025, and will remain valid until December 31, 2027.
The increase applies to all workers under the Labor Law, with wages for daily, weekly, or hourly employees calculated proportionally. Trainees in the final stage of vocational training must also earn at least 290 JOD.
According to the Ministry of Labor, the decision strikes a balance between improving workers' wages and addressing employers' economic challenges.
