Jordan’s Foreign Minister Arrives in Beirut in Show of Solidarity
Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi arrived in Beirut on Monday, leading a solidarity visit as Lebanon faces escalating war. Safadi arrived on the 7th Jordanian aid plane, which carried 13 tonnes of food, medical supplies, and relief items. During his visit, he met with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, reaffirming Jordan’s support and its commitment to helping Lebanon navigate the crisis caused by intense "Israeli" bombing.
In addition to meeting with Mikati, Safadi held talks with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berry and Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces Joseph Aoun. Safadi emphasized Jordan’s role in advocating for a ceasefire and ensuring Lebanon receives necessary aid as the aggressive "Israeli" attacks on Lebanon continue.
