Jordan Declares Public Holiday on September 10th for Parliamentary Elections

Jordan’s government has declared a public holiday on Tuesday, September 10th, to facilitate the parliamentary elections. The decision, announced by Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, will see a temporary halt to operations across a wide range of sectors, including all government ministries, public and private institutions, universities, municipalities, joint service councils, the Greater Amman Municipality, and companies fully owned by the government.

The holiday aims to boost voter turnout and ensure the smooth running of the electoral process as the nation prepares to elect members for the 20th House of Representatives. The move underscores the government's commitment to fostering active civic participation and maintaining a transparent and orderly election day.
