Jordan's Zaid Mustafa has secured a silver medal in the under-68 kg taekwondo category at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, marking a significant achievement for the nation. This is Jordan's first medal at the Paris Games and adds to the Kingdom's growing Olympic legacy.

Mustafa's journey to the finals was nothing short of remarkable. He displayed exceptional skill and determination, defeating top-tier competitors, including Hakan Reçber from Turkey, a bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics and current World Champion. However, in the final bout, Mustafa was narrowly defeated by Oluzbek Rashitov of Uzbekistan.

His achievement was celebrated by HRH Prince Feisal bin Hussein, president of the Jordan Olympic Committee, who personally presented the medal and praised Mustafa's outstanding performance. This silver medal not only highlights Mustafa's dedication but also underscores Jordan's continued success in taekwondo on the global stage.

Jordan's participation in the Paris Olympics has been a source of national pride, with Mustafa's silver medal bringing the Kingdom's total Olympic medal count to four, all of which have been won in the last three editions of the Games. This success reflects the growing strength and potential of Jordanian athletes in international sports.
