A Timeline of the Nights We Watched Resistance Light Up the Sky

Preview 1

This weekend, something different filled the skies.

From rooftops and balconies across Jordan, people didn’t just watch the stars, they watched history unfold.

Sirens rang out. Rockets flashed overhead. Phones came out. Memes were made. And through it all, a quiet understanding: This wasn’t about us. But it passed right above us.

🇮🇷 IRAN STRIKES BACK

Iran officially launched Operation True Promise III. It was one of the largest attacks the region has recently seen:

  • Over 300 drones and missiles fired toward Israel

  • On X (formerly Twitter), Iranian military officials declared: “The response has begun. The Zionist regime will pay a heavier price if it retaliates.”

📅 Timeline of Events

Friday, June 13:

  • Iran launched a large-scale retaliatory attack against "Israel", firing over 150 ballistic missiles and more than 100 drones, in response to "Israeli" airstrikes earlier that day on Iranian nuclear facilities and senior military officials.

  • Jordan's Civil Aviation Authority temporarily closed airspace to protect civilian flights.

  • Airlines including Emirates, FlyDubai, Etihad, Turkish Airlines, and Lufthansa paused all flights to and from Amman.

Saturday Night, June 14:

  • Just before midnight:

    • Sirens echoed across Jordan.

    • People stepped outside, looked up, and started filming.

  • Iran launched more drones and missiles toward "Israel" for the second night in a row.

    • Iran’s military posted on X declaring the start of "Operation True Promise" and warned that more strikes would follow if "Israel" retaliated.

🌍 Regional Impact

  • Jordan's Royal Air Force intercepted several drones and missiles that entered its airspace, ensuring the safety of its citizens.

  • Shrapnel from intercepted missiles fell in multiple places across Jordan, including Irbid, causing minor injuries but no significant damage.

  • Airspace closures affected global airlines, with several suspending flights to and from the region.
