"Zero" Temperatures Expected Tonight
Jordan is bracing for its coldest night during the current cold wave, with temperatures expected to approach zero degrees Celsius across most regions. "Arabia Weather"’s Operations Manager, Osama Al-Tarifi, announced that Tuesday/Wednesday night would see widespread very cold weather, with particularly harsh conditions in the Shara mountain peaks, desert regions, and the eastern plains.
Al-Tarifi attributed the severe drop in temperatures to the influence of a Siberian air mass, which has brought unusually cold weather to the Kingdom. However, relief is in sight, as the Siberian air mass is expected to retreat from the region starting Thursday.
Authorities and meteorologists are urging residents to prepare for frost in some areas and to take precautions against the intense cold by wearing heavy winter clothing. Al-Tarifi also emphasized the importance of safely using heating devices and being mindful of reduced visibility caused by fog in parts of the eastern plains.
As the cold wave continues, residents are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary measures to stay safe during these extreme conditions.
