EU Allocates €1.6 Billion for Palestinian Aid

The European Union announced a new financial support package for Palestinians, valued at up to €1.6 billion over the next three years. The package aims to help stabilize the West Bank and Gaza, with a focus on rebuilding efforts and strengthening key sectors such as education, healthcare, and economic development.
“We are stepping up our support to the Palestinian people. €1.6 billion until 2027 will help stabilize the West Bank and Gaza,” EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas stated on X (formerly Twitter).
Kallas also emphasized the EU’s long-standing partnership with the Palestinian Authority, affirming their continued commitment to supporting Palestinian development during these critical times.
A significant portion of the funding will be directed to UNRWA, the United Nations agency providing assistance to Palestinian refugees. Additionally, local businesses will be supported through accessible loans.
