Starbucks Closes 5th Branch in Jordan Amid Active Boycotts

Starbucks has officially shut down its fifth branch in Jordan, with the latest closure confirmed at the Downtown Amman location. The shutdown comes as the company continues to face sustained pro-Palestinian boycotts across the country.

According to reports, several Starbucks branches in Jordan have seen a significant drop in foot traffic since late 2024, as the boycott gained momentum. The movement — driven by public opposition to the brand’s alleged ties to the Israeli occupation — has pushed many consumers toward local cafés and homegrown coffee shops instead.
