Local Business Spotlight: Love on a Bike, An Artistic Haven in Amman

Love On A Bike

In the heart of Amman, Love on a Bike is more than just a studio; it's a testament to the passion and creativity of its founder, Rima Malallah. Since its inception in July 2007, this unique studio and shop has been a haven for art lovers and pottery enthusiasts alike.

Rima’s journey with clay began at the age of four when she first experienced the joy of moulding clay. This early encounter sparked a lifelong love for pottery and art. Two decades later, Rima brought her dream to life by creating Love on a Bike, a space that not only shows her creations but also serves as a hub for artistic expression.

In January 2019, Love on a Bike evolved from a regular shop into a private studio. Now, Rima opens her doors to customers a few days a week, providing an intimate and personalised shopping experience. The studio’s hours are updated weekly on their website, ensuring visitors can plan their trips accordingly.

Located at 23 Thi Qar Street in Amman, the shop is a treasure trove of handmade pottery and other artistic creations. Visitors can explore a wide array of items, each piece reflecting Rima’s craftsmanship and creative flair. The shop also offers customization options, allowing customers to commission unique pieces tailored to their preferences.

Rima’s artistic talents extend beyond pottery. She is also an accomplished muralist, painting vibrant murals in both public and private spaces. Her murals add a splash of colour and creativity to various locations around Amman. For those interested in commissioning a mural, Rima’s website provides a glimpse into her work and a way to get in touch.

In addition to her local studio, Rima has expanded her reach by licensing some of her work abroad. Through the online platform, customers can purchase products featuring Rima’s designs, making her art accessible to a global audience.

Despite the studio's growth and success, Love on a Bike retains a personal and welcoming atmosphere. Rima’s dedication to her craft is evident in every piece she creates, and her friendly demeanour makes every visit to the studio a memorable experience. Although her beloved cat Bisbis has retired, the studio remains a lively and inviting space.
